So, what can you do to help? As I mentioned in the infographic, there are a lot of small habits you can implement in your daily life that can make a huge difference! Avoiding single-use plastics, picking up discarded litter, and being careful of how you dispose of chemicals can all be ways you help the Tennessee River. Tennessee River Rescue is a volunteer organization that hosts an annual river clean-up on the first Saturday of October, making 2024 their 36th year doing it!
